“Calm down, breathe” he said
“Listen to me; I know what I’m in for. I love you very much to let you go, I will fight till the end and I will win because you are mine and only mine forever” he said hugging her.
A week later; that is the day of the fight both the contestants were ready, Anna was really anxious. She was praying continuously. The rules in this fight were there were no rules, both the parties could use any weapon, equipment, or any other object to their advantage, the only target was to get the other person down and out any which way possible.
When both of them came out, Shaun realised that it wasn’t Mano in front of him, it was someone else. Two minutes later it was announced that Shaun would have to fight two fighters before he can fight with Mano, he would have to beat them both to get to even see Mano. The audience was left flabbergasted; Anna started shouting, “this isn’t fair, you should’ve informed us before daddy”
“Baby it’s ok, I know it’s tough but we will get through this, I promise” said Shaun
“No, it’s not ok. This is cheating and we will not take it” she said aggressively.
“We know we are right, so no matter what’s thrown at us we will get through it baby. If you are with me I can take on anybody” he said calmly
“Ok, I believe you. Now go get them. I will see you after” she said kissing him passionately.
As the fight began, Shaun quickly cruised through the first one even though the fighter in front of him was a champion fighter. He was pumped with energy and he could see a smile on Anna’s face as he was punching and hitting the champion. As soon the champion was down, the other fighter came into the ring. Shaun did not even have time to take a breather.
This one again was a fighter cum bodybuilder, quite big in size and very scary to look at because he had scars all over his face. Shaun punched him, nothing happened, he punched again and still nothing. Shaun tried hitting him again a few times but to no avail. In return he hit Shaun and blood started coming out from his nose, his hand and face. Anna was worried sick.
Suddenly she realised that the bodybuilder was having trouble with his left leg. He kept jerking it up and down. She shouted, “hit him on his left knee, it’s his weak spot Shaun”
Shaun did as she said and within no time he was also on the floor. The crown went crazy, there was a huge roar from the crowd and everybody was cheering for Shaun.
When the roar died down, all of a sudden there was a roar again, but this time it was for Mano, he had entered the ring.
“Today I’m going to crush you” said Mano laughing away
“Not a chance” said Shaun with blood spilling from his mouth.
The fight began with bang, both the opponents were in full power; even though Shaun was injured he was all pumped up. There was a lot of noise, cheering, growling and both of them were equally hitting each other, it seemed like the fight could swing either way. Anna was holding her breath; it was her life at stake here in a way.
“C’mon Shaun, you can do it, finish him” she shouted.
Both Shaun and Mano were surprised to hear her say that, she had never been that aggressive. This also showed that how desperate she was to not go back to the life she was living before meeting Shaun.
Shaun’s energy was dying down, he had fought two more wrestlers before this and he was injured and blood was coming out from all over his body. Mano was gaining an upper hand on him and he could do nothing about it. He punched him hard and he was down. People were shouting but he couldn’t hear them, all he could see was Anna’s face full of tears shouting out his name which he could make out by her face. Seeing her like that triggered something in him and he got up with all the energy left in him and hit Mano hard and kept hitting him till he was down and out.
“Yes, I did it again” screamed Shaun
Anna quickly went up to the ring and hugged Shaun and kissed him tightly. She was exhilarated as was Shaun.
“I did it all for you, you gave the power to do it” said Shaun in her ear.
Soon after, Anna’s father came down to the ring and declared that Anna to be Shaun’s. Mano and Anna were to be divorced soon and then Anna would be free to marry Shaun.
It was a happy ending for Anna and Shaun finally! The End
